Director's Letter

Welcome to the Alcoholic Beverage Regulation Administration's (ABRA) enhanced online services.

One of our goals is to continue combating underage drinking with the assistance of the District of Columbia's Metropolitan Police Department, the Office of the Corporation Counsel, and the National Capital Coalition to Prevent Underage Drinking (NCCPUD). These organizations will form the Taskforce to Prevent Underage Drinking to ensure compliance with Title 25 of the DC Official Code and Title 23 of the Municipal Regulation. Additionally, the taskforce will create steps to improve one-stop business service for licenses and permits by partnering with other agencies. We are also continuously improving the adjudicatory support processes to provide better implementation of the Alcoholic Beverage Control Board's decisions.

Visit our website or office if you are currently operating with an ABC license or if you are interested in learning the process for obtaining an ABC license. We are currently adding many of our license application forms and instructions to our website. ABRA staff is available to answer your questions and to assist you in obtaining a copy of the District of Columbia's laws and regulations regarding alcoholic beverages.

Should you have a complaint involving an ABC establishment, let us know so we can help. Please be aware that we review and fully investigate all complaints forwarded to ABRA. We ask that you contact us about any complaint, compliment, or concern by phone at (202) 442-4423; in writing at 941 North Capitol Street, NE, Suite 7200, Washington, DC 20002; or by email.
